PINOT BLANC 2016Grapes procured from a small vineyard up the head of the valley in the tussock land and rocky, wild, parched hills on the way to the Lindis. 30 year old vines. Lemon/lime, delicate herbal notes and savoury finish. A tad feral and untamed. Are you ready for the ride? This wine may never come around again. We made 28 cases. Hand-stamped label.

FIELD BLEND 2016The 2016 field-blend is a small batch co-ferment of Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir. Skin contact for 7 weeks, then racked into old oak barrel for 5 months. Unfined, unfiltered and unsulphured. As natural as it gets. We then hand-stamped and hand-labelled the bottles. It's all vivid minerality, a little wild, with lovely lifted floral notes. This wine is so much fun.
Only 65 cases made. Serve chilled (not cold!). |
